I have mixed feelings about the Giant dollar store. While they do have some good deals and a decent selection, the quality can be hit or miss. I've found some really great items there, but I've also bought a few things that broke or didn't work properly. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're looking for some inexpensive items, but be prepared to potentially encounter some duds.
