I recently visited a local humane society to adopt a pet and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about finding the right fit for both the animal and the adopter. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the animals seemed well-cared for. I would highly recommend considering adoption from a humane society, such as the one in Franklin County. They do important work in providing forever homes for animals in need.
