Optimotive Technologies is a Windsor Ontario based startup with the focus of developing innovative solutions for autonomous vehicles in harsh weather environments. When current autonomous vehicles or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems(ADAS) lose sight of typical localization features such as road lines, they fail to function. Our systems are aimed at allowing the advanced vehicle of the future to transition from perfect sunny weather to the harshest of environments without failure. At Optimotive Technologies, we believe autonomy should always be available. It is our mission to innovate cost-effective solutions so autonomous vehicles can perform in all weather conditions. To demonstrate our vision of the future, Optimotive is undertaking the development of a home-grown autonomous vehicle platform, named IRIS 2. IRIS 2 will allow for rapid development of software systems, expansion into hardware research & demonstration to potential clients & the public.
